This week at Vibewatch — Sep 11–Sep 17

You can now ask Vibewatch about your community inside ChatGPT. That was most of this week; the rest went into the Stacks Vibe Index and a handful of fixes.

New

  • Vibewatch is a ChatGPT app. Search "vibewatch" in ChatGPT's plugin directory, connect your organization, and ask in plain English — sentiment, daily insights, message search and the weekly report. Everything it exposes is read-only: it can answer questions about your community, and it cannot act in it. It works in Codex too. We wrote up exactly what it can see before you connect anything.
  • The Stacks Vibe Index has a public changelog. Every index feature that has shipped is now listed at stacks.vibewatch.io/changelog, each entry dated by the day it reached production.
  • Four weeks of the index, written up. What happens when you publish a sentiment score with the denominator attached — what the index publishes, what the number did, and what it cannot tell you.

Improved

  • Index theme counts now cover the full seven days. A theme's mention count used to be computed over part of the week, so it under-counted, and every citation now shows where it came from.
  • The Stacks rolling summary refreshes every six hours, so it reflects the current conversation rather than this morning's.
  • The index methodology page explains how a post that mentions two projects is counted.

Fixed

  • Links and buttons keep their colour on hover instead of lightening, which improves page accessibility.
  • Asking the paid index API about a project we don't score returns an error instead of charging you for an empty answer.
  • When a payment fails, the error says why and carries the payment id, and the gate says whether you pay the STX fee or a sponsor covers it.

By the numbers

  • 8,495 messages scored in the last 7 days
  • 33,029 in the last 30 days
  • 179,531 scored to date
