The Stacks Endowment has awarded Vibewatch a $10,000 grant to build a public sentiment index for the Stacks ecosystem — and to give Stacks projects free Vibewatch subscriptions along the way.
It's part of the Endowment's Getting Started program, and it's the project I've been most excited to build.
Why a Stacks sentiment index is worth building
Vibewatch is community intelligence for web3 teams. It reads what your community is saying across X, Discord, Telegram, YouTube, Nostr, and forums, scores each message in context, and turns the day's conversation into a report your whole team will actually read.
Public-web listening tools see X, news, and public forums — but they don't sit inside the Discord servers and Telegram groups where a crypto community actually talks. Vibewatch does.
That's where much of a Stacks project's real signal lives: the governance debates, the bug reports, the unfiltered launch reactions. Aggregate it across every project on Stacks and you get a read on the ecosystem's vibe that doesn't exist anywhere else. That's the index the grant funds.

A public Stacks Ecosystem Sentiment Index
We're building one open, public view of community sentiment across every participating Stacks project — free for anyone to read. It will gather what each project's community is saying into a single picture of how the ecosystem is feeling, week to week.
An endpoint AI agents can pay to query
Stacks has a fast-growing agent economy — more than a thousand AI agents on aibtc alone, already paying each other in sats for data and services. Vibewatch will expose the index through x402, the pay-per-call standard on Stacks, so an agent can pay per query in sBTC (Bitcoin on Stacks) and read live community sentiment. Every payment settles on-chain, so the usage is publicly auditable.
